Quite lazily written in my opinion, I mean, think he doesn't want to see in Fallout 4: Less Bugs?
When the game was initially announced back in 2008, I was undeniably hyped, it was originally a highly tactical, squad-based FPS (Think Rainbow Six in Space with Alien's Horror Atmosphere), you issued commands to your 3 AI Companions, requesting them the weld doors shut, guard doorways, vents, floor panels etc, also, there was a great co-operative gameplay mechanic where if playing campaign with a friend you each command one of the two remaining AI companions, giving the second player equ...
Despite believing Shane to have a self obsessed perspective on the games industry, his pushing through opinion as fact and disregarding others' opinions, I'll miss him. Invisible Wall's just won't be the same, sure, I persistently mumble complaints whilst watching in regards to Shane, but thats the beauty of the podcast, the diversity in characteristics. I'm just worried the show will deteriorate into silence, with no clashing of opposing ideas.
Good Luck ...
Personally, "The Walking Dead" was my GOTY for 2012. It expanded upon the comic book universe and provided an immensely engrossing experience.
Whilst "Far Cry 3" featured a tremendous Single-Player and Map-Editor, the multiplayer was lazily designed.
Unfortunately, the multiplayer's development was outsourced to "Ubisoft Massive" who decided against utilising the Single-Player/Map Editor Engine for Multiplayer, meaning, custom maps decrease immensely in quality in the transition from Map Editor to Competetive. Less animation's, horrible texture's, no vehicles, enemy ai, wildlife. Unfortunately, custom maps cannot be utilised to their full potential. Hopefully "Ubisoft" learn from their mistakes regarding mu...

"How to run a once-great game franchise into the ground": Written by Activision.
Irrefutably a Worst Game of the Year 2013 Early Contender and most probable victor.
(Although, statistically speaking, the game was released fall 2012. But, considering the majority of "GOTY Awards" had been decided upon, and due to this games horrendous gameplay, it would be shameful to exclude it from this years nominations... )
Single player, as a result of the game being "twice as visually stunning as RAGE" (in id's words) and due to them wanting to pit the gamer against masses of enemies, will run at 30 FPS on Consoles (no confirmation for PC), multiplayer will run at 60 FPS.
As you can read above, I considered "RAGE" to be an enjoyable game, highly underrated. Not incredible, but deserving of higher respect.
"RAGE" had astoundingly good combat, mainly as a result of the tremendous animations and sublime enemy AI. Many people, like yourself, consider it to be a "utter turd" because you went into playing it with incorrect preconceptions of what the game actually was, most mistaking it for a Fallout like experience.
"RAGE" did a lot wrong, yes. Being an id Software game, (especially being one with such brilliant shooting mechanics and 60 FPS) it NEEDED ...
Whilst I'm very welcoming of others' opinions, I don't particular agree with many of your criticisms. Firstly, the games graphics both technically and artistically have withstands the test of time, still to this day evoking a sense of both grit and beauty, the sublime ferocity of the flames, the tremendous fluidity of the water physics, I could go on.
Secondly, in regards to your critique on the "repetitive" gameplay, this is entirely dependant on how mu...
The games an open-world single-player, Internet connection will have no involvement in its performance.
Pun intended?
Not when you get competent developers who understand that with a sequel there needs to be a certain degree of unfamiliarity. The gamer needs to realise when playing a sequel that they are playing a continuation, but need to feel that something has changed, evolved, otherwise you get a Call of Duty scenario, when the franchise becomes fatigued.
For an Arcade title, I think the game looks superb. Fortify your camp, customise your character, build up your group, open world, and they're using this single-player title as a prototype for a multiplayer title of which promises 1000's of players on an individual server.
I've been hyped for this title since it's initial announcement.
Riding the Nintendo hate train? Why do you consider the Wii U to be "rubbish" might I ask...?
It's great that Irrational is catering for those of who have requested alternative covers nonetheless, despite how ridiculously overblown the entire situation has been. As for the alternatives themselves, I love the propaganda-like artwork of the Songbird covers, they're stunning. I also believe the second Dewitt/Elisabeth cover to be a much stronger identity for "Bioshock Infinite"'s box art, showing both characters emphasises that the game will be massively character d...
